One Thread Textile Art

The Art of Connection

I am obsessed with the reality of a single thread that, without question and with our combined strength, holds us all together. I experience this in my day to day living and demonstrate it in my artwork.

I am drawn to fiber…painting on it, weaving it, cutting it up and putting it back together, creating wet-felted wool fabrics and most recently, with great joy, creating organic sculptural embroidered art. It’s just thread.

This one thread is very powerful. It joins us but also creates open spaces for us to be ourselves while we support one another.

The only question this thread asks is:
“How can I help?”
